Scottsdale Bible Church is a
large church and the Christian Essentials Class
has about 250 that attend
class each Sunday. It is certainly easy to feel
isolated unless you get involved in a small group or home fellowship. Home
fellowships are small groups of people who meet together to grow in Christ.
By connecting with others in an intimate setting, they develop friendships
and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Small groups are meant
to be safe places filled with trust and authenticity where people can connect
to develop friendships, learn more about themselves and each other, and grow
to become devoted followers of Jesus Christ. Our class has small groups of
between 10 to 16 people that meet in different locations on different days – some
weekly and some bi-weekly. The format will vary by group but the basic elements
include social time, Biblical studies, discussion, and prayer. We believe
meeting in a small group like this provides an environment where people can
be heard, feel loved, as well as grow spiritually.
